i also recently contributed some healthy recipes for Gorgo Magazine – a women’s health mag, and will be doing monthly healthy recipes going forward. to see the full recipe you’ll have to purchase the issue or a year subscription, but here’s a sneak peak of the 3 recipes i made for them:

i also just added another charge to my credit card, but this time it wasn’t shoes – it was books! among all of my other lists, i have a “to read” list that’s always growing on my phone. before i knew what social media was, all i would do anytime i had a free minute was read. i’ve read the harry potter series at least 8 times (yes, all 7 books – and yes, actually 8 times). i love that feeling of not being able to put a book down; sneaking a couple pages in at your desk at work, almost missing your subway stop because you were so into the characters, and knowing that you really should turn off your light and go to sleep since it’s 3am, but you just can’t stop turning pages. i hadn’t had that in ages, until I read Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. that book got me excited about reading again – i should have know all i had to do was pick up a book about food! now, with the cold weather coming, i can wrap myself up in a blanket and read for hours and not have to venture out into the hell that is outside. i ordered these 5 from amazon today and cannot wait until they come in:
