February 20, 2016

finally my second favourite day of the week is here (saturday is first, obviously). that means we all need a little weekend reading/cooking/eating/drinking love and i’m here to give it to ya!

my girlfriend Autumn recently launched her stunning blog full of creative goodness – snuggle in with a cup of tea and read about art, design and all things swoon worthy!

this article at food52 explains why you can’t achieve movie popcorn at home (because i only go to the movies for the popcorn)

ummmmm this article (or if you were on the internet this week, the 100 articles) about how pre-grated parm isn’t 100% parm it’s like… wood pulp? all the more reason to buy proper hunks of parmesan and grate it yourself – the way the italians intended you to.

watch //
THE CUTEST cutie jacques pepin and his mesmerizing knife skills. he’s literally so cute and talented and i’m insanely jealous that i don’t work at bon appetit and couldn’t be there when they filmed this.

this doesn’t fall into watch, but I’M SO MADLY IN LOVE WITH le cruset’s spring line. i saw them in williams sonoma’s window after work today and actually stopped in the middle of the mall to stare at them. i don’t know if i’ve ever wanted something so badly.

uffico toronto opened last week at 1214 dundas street west! the first italian / pescatarian restaurant in the city & i was lucky enough to test out their menu first! among my favs were the mushroom truffle agnolotti, trout crostini and salted cod croquettes. if you guys are aware of campangnolo, this is the chef, craig harding’s, side project and it’s amazing!

keep an eye out this weekend for a homemade pasta recipe and a wonderful, homey recipe from my obsession, prune. && don’t forget to make these cornmeal pancakes tomorrow! <3

hope you all have a beautiful weekend! xo
